We’re thrilled to announce that we have a new marketing manager in the house! Elina Silvennoinen has been here for one week now, and it’s time for you to get to know her a little bit better.
Who are you?
I’m Elina, an ambitious yet humble person who loves to work with different kinds of people. I believe that work shouldn’t be “just work”, it should light a fire in you and make you want to become better each day.
I have a bachelor’s degree in international business and marketing and currently, I’m studying MBA studies majoring in growth management.
Where did you work before?
I’ve worked in various marketing positions for about ten years now. I started my career at Trainers’ House by arranging meetings for clients via phone. After five years of B2B marketing at Trainers’ House and after graduating from Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences, I worked around event marketing, communications and sales for several years. For the past fast few years though, I worked for Synsam, a Scandinavian optical retail chain. I was the Head of Marketing in Finland.
What made you want to work at Evermade?
The main reasons I applied to work at Evermade were the company’s great reputation, interesting references and naturally, the description of the position. The role of a Marketing Manager is a totally new one at Evermade, and it felt tempting to be able to start from scratch. I’m also very curious to learn more about web analytics and marketing automation, and I think this is the right place for that!
A lot of good and detailed marketing activities have been done here. However, I’m here to define the big picture and the long-term marketing agenda. I will steer Evermade’s marketing activities by creating a yearly marketing plan, invest in improving our brand awareness and develop our sales process. I believe that sales and marketing have to work closely together and not as separate units.
During the past few years, Evermade’s message has been mostly targeted at people who understand our industry to start with. It’s good to remember that people buying services are not necessarily digital professionals, which is why we have to make our communication more buyer-friendly and facilitate the buyer journey.
I think my strength in this position will be my versatile knowledge of marketing, especially in the B2B sector. During my career, I’ve been also sitting at the client’s table many times, buying services that Evermade offers. I believe I have the capability to understand both our existing and potential clients.
How do you feel after your first week?
This week has been simply great! Of course, there is a ton of new things to learn, but I’ve really enjoyed my time here. People are very welcoming and it seems like we all have the same passion for learning. The people I’ve met here have phenomenal skills and knowledge of their field, but they are still humble and kind. I had heard a lot of good things about Evermade before, and I can tell that those people were not wrong.
I’m here to clarify the true essence of Evermade. It exists strongly already but needs some polishing. Some people might call it branding, but I think it’s much more than that. It’s about bringing Evermade’s story to life.
After the first phase of clarification is done, my job is to spread our awesome story to the world and make our clients love us even more. I will help organizations and businesses find us when they are in need of exceptional digital skills and help the best talents to find their way to work with us. I think that together with Roosa, we’ll get a lot of good things done!
