Driving car sales through CRM integration and effortless content management

the starting point

Rinta-Joupin Autoliike was looking for a new partner to support digital sales and had already been developing its digital sales channels before our collaboration. The infrastructure for Rinta-Joupin Autoliike’s website was already well-advanced. Although there was no immediate project need, there was a room for improvement on the site: the website, implemented with headless technology, was slow and difficult to maintain and further develop. We began exploring the site more deeply and built an architectural description.

Rinta-Joupin Autoliike’s website features two-way integrations. Car salespeople maintain a CRM/ERP system that contains data on every vehicle and is used when a customer purchases a vehicle or makes contact via the website. We built an integration for Rinta-Joupin Autoliike where data flows from this system to WordPress and is presented to the user on the website. An external search engine is used as the back-engine for the React-implemented car search, into which the vehicle data is fed from WordPress.

our solution

We completely renewed Rinta-Joupin Autoliike’s website. The most important part of the design phase specifically involved UI design for the business-critical car search engine. The search engine is now significantly more user-friendly than before – filters are found on the left side, and vehicles matching the search are displayed on the right.

However, the greatest value we created has come from integrating the client’s business-critical CRM system into WordPress and building a new kind of user interface where anyone can brose and search for suitable vehicles. Searching for individual vehicles is by far the most important and critical feature on the site and is at the very core of Rinta-Joupin Autoliike’s business. Rinta-Joupin Autoliike now has the excellent features of an integrated search engine and a fast car search engine built with React, while content management remains easy and simple thanks to WordPress.

technical implementation

We also interated a recruitment system into the site, through which jo openings are displayed on the website. The site also features an integration through which form submissions (e.g., maintenance requests) are sent to the CRM/ERP system for processing by staff. Images can also be transferred within the forms, which is somewhat unusual for ERP form integrations.

A visitor can also make a reservation for an individual vehicle on their own page, at which point they proceed to the ERP system to make a reservation payment. Additionally, a financing calculator located on the individual vehicle page is integrated, meaning the financing calculation data is fetched from the system every time the user adjusts the calculator’s values. The calculator was built with React.

Rinta-Joupin Autoliike’s site also utilizes Cloudfare CDN to ensure good performance and protection against web attacks. We extensively utilize our own tool, Everwatch, to monitor all integrations. Everwatch monitors the functionality of the integrations and, in the event of potential failures, sends a real-time alert to our account team and Care maintenance team so that business-critical issues, in particular, can be reacted to quickly.
